DOWN holds “Micka” especially close to its heart – he was the one ambassador that paved the way for us to step onto the top step of the podium of the FWT, the biggest & baddest series competition in the world of freeride skiing. Ever since the revival of DOWN, our big goal was to add Mr. Bimboes back to our team & we’re proud to announce that we got him.

Biography

After the retirement from competitions, where he achieved some stoke-worthy results, becoming the French Freeride Champion in 2017, winning two stages of the FWT (one of them being the Xtreme Verbier) and placing 3rd overall, he focused on his second passion – video production. Ever since, he’s been creating engaging high quality video content, posted to his Winter Acitvity YouTube channel. We highly recommend you to follow his story, as he’s currently trying himself in a new role – due to his extensive freeride experience, he’s mentoring another DOWN ambassador, Mathys Fornasier, a young up-and-coming freeride protégé. With “Micka” by his side, he’s attacking the highest ranks of FWT.
