ABOUT THE SKI

A one-ski quiver may be a cliche, but since it's the best way to describe the CountDown Carbon 104, we're sticking with it anyway. We've been refining this design for the last 13 years, and it's getting very close to perfection. From powder to groomed pistes, the CountDown series is set to let you ski how you want, never wondering about the abilities of your skis.

A poplar-ash core is blended with carbon fiber to make the ski not only light but damp. The CD104s 5 point shape combined with our hybrid-rocker-camber profile making the ski easy to use for both skiers new to freeride, comp riders, or anyone that just wants a fun ski.

FREERIDE ROCKER

The ultimate in versatility and smoothness, our freeride rocker profile combines camber underfoot with a low rise, elliptical tip and a relatively flat tail. The underfoot camber gives instant edge grip in tricky conditions and the smooth transition into the tip and tail rocker lets you engage the full effective edge on demand for smooth carving. The low rise, elliptical tip provides full snow contact, punches through uneven snow with minimal deflection and keeps you on top of even the deepest, fluffiest powder.

The latest version of the CountDown Carbon 104 features significant upgrades in durability and performance. Here's what we improved for the 24-25 version of the CD104:

1,8mm thick bases replace 1,2mm thick bases: combined with 50% more beef underfoot, this secures an extended product life, better impact resistence & more tunability - premium PTEX top-transparent sintered bases from company CPS
2,2mm strong edges replace 1,9mm strong edges: premium Austrian steel, double annealed and manufactured by Metallwerke Deutsch
SUPERSAP epoxy: we blend the 33% biobased resin with a proprietary hardener superior to the ski industry standard in terms of tensile strenght and impact resistance
adjusted core profile: we slightly modified the core profile from a somewhat trapezoid-type profile, to a more bell-curve profile. You'll notice a subtle improvement in the fineness of the ski
new 50K carbon from SGL Sigratex, a near and dear neighbour to our manufacturing facitlity!
