ABOUT THE SKI
125mm, Backcountry Freestyle at its best!
Developed from all the years of experience with the TD124/CD1 and of course with great input from our team (thanks guys!) the ThrowDown 125 is a surfy, floaty and ripping freestyle pow ski. Carbon mixed with a new Polyamide 12 ("Nylon") topsheet, hardwood core, and FULL sidewall construction make this ski durable and light. Built with the big days in mind, it's still surprisingly versatile as an all mountain ski carves very well due to the camber underfoot and medium/short radius. It's a playful and easy to manage, yet really lets you open it up and rip high speed lines whenever you want.
SYMMETRICAL FREESTYLE ROCKER
Our most playful rocker profile, with a short running length, camber underfoot and symmetrical tip/tail rocker. The camber underfoot provides solid and predictable edge bite and pop while the tip and tail rocker makes for super easy pivots from a centered stance and similar riding characteristics whether going forward or switch.
WHAT'S IN THIS SKI?
The TD125, as all DOWN THROWDOWN skis, offers exceptional value. Inside you find:
- a full-lenght POPLAR woodcore with a HARDWOOD binding insert underfoot - adding durability and impact resistance
- a premium P-TEX sintered base (the fast stuff) from German supplier CPS - we eliminated all die-cuts and switched to full silk-screen printed designs; as in "what is not cut is less likely to break"
- a full-length CARBON stringer; consider this your personal leaf-spring, adding pop and longevity
- and all the rest, bra, bra, of a premium sandwich skis (ABS sidewalls, vertical lamination, textured CPS Polyamide 12 (Nylon) topsheets, full-thickness / double annealed steel edges from Austrian supplier Wälzholz Huber
- This ski is rich in ingredients compared to almost any other competing product on the market.
MOUNT RECOMMENDATION
We recommend mounting this ski 45mm back from true center. You will find an according marking on the product.
